Review: Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque

I have an obsession with trying out deep conditioners. The perfect conditioner (in my head) provides soft hair, tons of moisture, and slip. I have seen the Macadamia Natural Oil
Deep Repair Masque at hair stores and always rolled my eyes at the price. $33.00???? I cannot see why I would ever spend that much on anything that I use for 30 minutes then wash down the drain. It would be understandable if I could reuse the conditioner or if it served multiple purposes (unclogs drains, freshens the air...). But it doesn't.

Luckily, I discovered that Ulta sells this conditioner in sample packs for 4.99 (still rather expensive but not as bad as the full sized price tag). Let me just say that I L-O-V-E this stuff! I actually wish that I didn't like it and that it didn't work so well. But honestly it was amazing. My hair was soft, hydrated, moisturized, and every positive characteristic associated with an amazing deep conditioner.

Am I willing to purchase the full size product because of my results?

Um...

No.

There are other conditioners (that can be used as deep conditioners) on the market that are just as great, such as Aubrey Organics HoneySuckle Rose Conditioner and Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle. Just slap on a shower cap (or a plastic bag), leave it on for thirty minutes and voila! Add some heat or use a steamer if you are really in for giving your hair a deep treat.

Bottom line: is the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque worth it?

No.

If you are curious to try it I would suggest buying the sample pack. If you have 33.00 to blow then go for the regular size.

Latest DIY...

Not really a hair related post. But I designed these wine glasses as a party favor for my girl's bachelorette party. I loved the results.

I'm thinking about opening up an Etsy page soon. Stay tuned!

(Oh, and here I am. Still rocking the wash n go ponytail. Such a simple summer style. Later lovelies!)

DIY Length Check Shirt

I made a length check t-shirt! I was inspired by one of my favorite Instagramer's: CurlyCurves.

Length Check shirts are a great way to keep track of your progress. To make sure that the regimen that you are using is helping your hair to grow healthy and long. One of the problems with my hair, (i believe that I have mentioned this before) is that the bottom of my hair breaks off like crazy! I have been trying to take care of this part so that it will catch up to remaining parts of my hair. The extra TLC is finally paying off I must say!

These shirts can be bought or you can make them yourself. I have been turning into a DIY Queen lately. So of course this project intrigued me. I am glad to share it with you all.

See the video below to find out how I made this shirt:

And here are my results...*drumroll*
